Every April, we salute the special people who keep our homes powered. When Mother Nature shows her worst, lineworkers offer their best—working in dangerous conditions to repair lines and restore power.
Rural lineworkers like Wyatt Shelley (pictured here) recognize the power of electricity. Wyatt, from Harney Electric Cooperative in Oregon, recently traveled to Guatemala as part of a Northwest team going to great lengths to provide power for the first time to a local village, changing the lives of 30 families forever.
Let’s not take electricity or those who keep the lights on, like Wyatt, for granted.
